Parenting a Young Adolescent — Four-Day Residential Workshop

This four-day workshop aims to prepare parents for the challenges of raising a child entering adolescence. It helps participants identify their psychological resources and strengthen or develop the skills they already have. With experienced psychologists in a safe, supportive setting, parents can work on building confidence, managing anxieties related to their parental role, and recognising how emotional injuries from their own upbringing may affect their relationship with their child. The retreat is organised for a small group of 8–12 participants, with full board and complementary activities.

Group workshops and individual conversations explore parent–child relationships, self-awareness, relationship dilemmas, stress management, mood regulation, effective communication, procrastination and time management, and ways to establish a more structured everyday routine.

What does the programme include?

Participants follow a structured programme from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., including small-group work, one-to-one counselling and themed workshops. Accommodation is provided in a well-equipped three- or four-star venue with full board. Three trained psychologists or counsellors stay with the group.

Who can participate?

The workshop is intended primarily for parents of children aged 9–12. Parent couples receive a 10% discount.
